The G-miniprint is a smaller version of the popular Genoportrait. It is a photograph-sized image (10 x 15 cm) that we offer in three designs:
- an acrylic plate with an unobtrusive acrylic stand
- a self-standing G-miniprint of solid glass plate
- a G-miniprint in alu-bond form (extremely thin acrylic plate coated with aluminium) with a wide acrylic stand.
We make G-miniprint from the genetic information contained in DNA. Each DNA contains several highly variable parts that are unique to each person. We can read these so-called genetic markers from DNA, and in your G-miniprint you'll see them as color lines.
G-miniprint DUO is a tri-colored – each person has their genetic markers displayed in a different color, then the third color is their common markers. You can tell by the representation of each color how genetically similar the people pictured are. You select the color of both the lines and the background from the color samplerl in the top bar, but if you are unsure, you can choose the colors afterward. In fact, you will receive the color sampler to definitively determine the color from us by post after the order has been made.
You don't have to understand genetics to know G-miniprint. For G-miniprint you will get a certificate from us with a short explanation, the values of your markers and a sketch of their location in G-miniprint. The certificate will therefore provide you with all necessary information about your G-miniprint.
The G-miniprint comes in a gift box wrapped in bubble wrap.
What happens after you order it:
We'll send you a DNA sampling kit. Don't fret - this is a fine brush to wipe the inside of the cheek + sampling instructions. We will also send you a color sampler. In peace and comfort, you take a DNA sample, select the color combination of your G-miniprint, and send both back to our lab by mail. We will analyze the sample and produce your G-miniprint within 4 weeks.
