Paternity tests are genetic tests in which 16 selected sections of DNA obtained from a mouth swab are analysed and then compared between the persons tested (sample of the alleged father, child, mother). In this way we determine the probability of paternity (more about the principle of paternity testing).
The DNA paternity test with an expert opinion is carried out in the same way as the Anonymous DNA test, but the results are accompanied by an expert opinion so that it can be used for legal purposes. For the samples taken (father, mother and child), the identity of the persons tested must be verified (validity of identity documents, right thumb impression for adults, photography), and therefore the collection must be carried out in the presence of a forensic expert or a person authorized by him directly in our company in Prague 6. The collection is carried out with a fine brush, it is painless, safe and fast. It is necessary not to drink, eat, smoke or rinse your mouth at least one hour before the collection. DNA sampling and identity verification (your visit to us) takes approximately 45 minutes. The time limit for the expert report afterwards is 14 days.
An expert report can also be prepared on a previously conducted Paternity Test with verification of the identity of all persons tested (father, mother and child). We always test two independent samples for maximum reliability of the results.
The paternity test result contains identification data (case number, numbers of samples tested), a listing of the values of the DNA sections tested, a verbal evaluation of the test result including the probability with which paternity is confirmed or excluded, and an expert opinion.
