Genoscope JUNIOR is a genetic test whose results will help you with difficult decisions about where to direct your child's activities, what hobbies to choose for them, or in which area they can achieve exceptional results.
You'll learn from it:
Whether your child is naturally more of an endurance or a sprinter
Whether they have an innate absolute musical ear (and related, e.g., talent for foreign languages)
Whether they own genes for physical fitness
Whether they have an increased risk of developing addictions (it can then be turned into a positive direction, e.g. on sport, reading, interests...)
What is his or her natural circadian rhythm (how to schedule his activities)
The test is based on the latest scientific knowledge about genes involved in sports performance, musical hearing, or circadian rhythm. It depends on the difference in these genes, whether the child is more of an endurance or sprinter, whether he has a musical talent, or whether he is more of an early riser or a night owl. If it seems to you that your child, for example, is not as efficient an athlete as his or her peers, believe that the absence of so-called rock climbing genes may be to blame. But they may have an innate musical talent that is very hard to detect in young children. Children with absolute musical hearing excel not only in music, but also in foreign languages, for example. It would be a shame not to reveal your descendants’ innate absolute musical hearing, because if it does not start to develop from the early childhood, it'll fade out during the childhood.
The test results in a multi-page, detailed protocol that describes the individual talents in clear terms.
How is the sampling done?
DNA (the genetic information from which we “read”) is extracted from the cells in the lining of the mouth, and you take the sample from your children yourself. After receiving the order, we will send you a fine brush in the mail to wipe the inside of the children's cheek and then you will send it back to us to the laboratory. Collection is fast, easy, safe and painless. You will receive your test results max 4 weeks after we receive your samples.
